Brantley Gilbert knows that tomorrow is not guaranteed. A little more than five years ago, the talented singer / songwriter was ignoring his deepest ambition, a country singer and I was with the movements of everyday life. Only in some near-fatal car accident Brantley, who opened his eyes, recognized the importance of living each day to the fullest, and decided to pursue his love for music as a career.

Brantley was born in the small town of Jefferson, Georgia, just outside the city limits of Athens raised. And ‘that education and small-town influence Brantley credits allowed him to cultivate his own sound. With well-known rock bands REM and The B-52 that has its roots in the area, Brantley taste in music was still torn towards a feeling of rock, but found his testimony true-to-life pain, trials, the triumph and success of a home in country music.

After taking the stage night after night alone with his guitar and opening for other artists around the country began in the south-east Brantley, familiar faces in the crowd to notice. A group of believers that Brantley had developed a passion for life and music together, and soon had the following assumed a life of its own. Brantley quickly realized that his acoustic shows, but did not satisfy his thirst for intimate audiences after his rock-infused country music. To meet their demand, Brantley formed a band.

“We went from these acoustic shows, to a bona fide country-rock-soul-show, the Wide-Ass is open,” says Gilbert. “Even if we play a ballad, is high energy.”

With fans demanding new music from Brantley, was in Nashville, Tennessee, where he soon signed with Warner Chappell Publishing and started to develop the music for a debut album release. One of his songs, “The Best of Me” was recorded by Jason Aldean and deserves a place on its Wal-Mart exclusive version (WIDE OPEN) and iTunes. Brantley has as a recording contract with Media Entertainment Joes under the contract and has worked with top chart act and labelmate Colt Ford to write and record, “Dirt Road Anthem”, which is currently present in several weeks, Ford Billboard Top 25 album , Ride Through THE COUNTRY.

“I realized that life can be very short, and everyone should benefit,” he said. “If you live, have, do something with it. Make it big.”

And it is great. Brantley celebrates the release of her second album, halfway to the sky, leading off in March 2010 with the single “Kick It in the boonies.” Halfway to Heaven after his release in 2009, A Modern Day Prodigal Son, which includes hit singles, “GRITS” and “Whenever we’re alone.”

Increase tour dates throughout the South, Brantley is to expand the fan base, and like most artists these days, fans can stay updated on tour dates and news via MySpace. His site garners more than 25,000 viewers each day, a number that has led to the # 1 Place on MySpace Music Charts for both country and southern rock.
